Terrible vidding dilemma: I desperately want to make a What's Your Number vid to express my passionate love for Ally Darling, but I can't figure out how to do it without replicating the movie's bullshit. Not the explicit slut-shaming bullshit, but the part where the movie constructs slut-shaming and misogyny and patriarchal control as coming from bad prissy bitchy women, and from which women need to be rescued by men, who are above such things, so that these women can finally break free of their mothers and female friends and be their own happy hetero sex-loving selves (but not TOO much sex, let's not go crazy here). I don't want to make a 100% angry vid, and I don't want to make a vid that would have to be basically a lie, but...ugh, this is difficult. I just want to celebrate her awesomeness while also acknowledging that the story is basically how that awesomeness is continually crushed by the patriarchy. There are surprisingly few songs in my library for this situation.

--also I don't want to spend a million years on this, because that movie really is not worth it. I was just hoping for a few days of fun and some Avisynth practice. SIGH. ...any song suggestions would be extremely welcome, btw! :D? :D?
