No you thought I was joking but he LISTS THEM. He lists them and describes their condition and location. All of them.

Yeah, I was about to say, for me it went: hour one: wow, this guy is really into the chairs, hour 2: I have a LOT of feelings about Monsieur Bienvenu's sister, hour 3: holy crap I'm still reading.

I would never have read this thing without an e-reader; I do all my reading on the bus and hauling the paper copy around was just a complete non-option.

Twist my arm, why don't you? I'm gonna join in.

I've been doing terribly at reading lately, but everyone on my flist is getting excited about this giant nineteenth century novel that I haven't read yet, and HOW THE FUCK AM I MEANT TO RESIST THAT?

Just lemme finish the rural paranormal romance [personal profile] fasangel leant me, and I'll be right with you.

It's only a matter of time before someone starts the DW les_mis_the_book comm, right?

Wait until you get to Waterloo! Though it's all weirdly, weirdly compelling.

I honestly think it's at the beginning of the book as a sort of test. If you can get through Monsignor Bienvenue, it's at least likely you can get through Waterloo, and the convent and the sewers and everything will actually start to seem like fun.

However, I told people elsewhere that I think I'm experiencing Victor Hugo-induced Stockholm Syndrome, so my opinions should probably be taken with a grain of salt.
