AUGH i accidentally used Persuasion on Alistair again, and as I have level 4 Persuasion it totally worked, and now i feel all DIRTY D: next time around i am playing a MORALLY GREY character who doesn't make friends, damn it.

unrelated to DA (for once)--I have to watch 300 tonight for my greek tragedy class. PITY ME.

oh, and a small DA-related annoyance--have any of y'all been able to complete Sten's quest? Because I got to the guy I was supposed to get to but the quest journal didn't update, and I couldn't do anything else. Either it is a bug or...I'm not sure what else it could be.

I have discovered a major flaw in Dragon Age: you can't watch through the endless, endless animation and cutscenes that come right before the final battle, then save and go to bed. No. You have to watch the scenes all the way through if you want to start the final battle. At least, so far as I can tell. THAT IS JUST CRUEL. Especially since it's a pretty gross set of cutscenes and a pretty crappy pre-battle speech, at least until the end. Also, I don't like that you have to do it alone. I learned how to fight with a party! That's what I know how to do! I'm no good without a mage covering my back :( Honestly I've disliked every single go-it-alone part of the game so far. The whole fun in fighting is figuring out strategies for how best to use a team.
