The Great (Re)watch: "The Edge of Destruction"
Yeah, I just went ahead and watched it tonight, I don't really have anything else to do. Also you guys if you are not reading this on Dreamwidth you are missing my AWESOME OLD-SKOOL ICON.
103 1 THE EDGE OF DESTRUCTION
TARDIS go boom! Everyone fall down!
Soundtrack go...weird D:
Barbara is dragging the cloth from the previous ep! Nice continuity touch.
And Thal pants! I hadn't even noticed she'd changed into those.
So...everyone has amnesia, apparently. And Susan and the Doctor have head wounds.
Ah, Ian checks the Doctor's heartbeat! His actual heart in his chest, I mean. Soon to be retconned!
Awww, the food machine has one switch for water and one switch for milk. The milk of what, exactly, one might wonder.
This is so weird. It's all full of long pauses and inappropriate affect and the doors keep opening and closing.
Oh man, that bed is like the opposite of ergonomic. Spines should not bend out!
And now Susan has a knife. WHAT. Oh, no, scissors. With which she's threatening to stab Ian.
If I could make gifs, I would make a gif of Susan stabbing the bed over and over with her unnaturally-long scissors.
One thing I like about this episode is how many different rooms we get to see. Hooray for a big TARDIS!
Ian's jacket is coming apart at the seams, my goodness.
And something outside is...roaring. D:
"The planet Quinis of the fourth universe."
Barbara tears the Doctor a new one! Granted neither of them are in their right minds, but it's still completely awesome.
And for no reason at all, Ian's pants are rolled up to the knee. He has nice calves :D
OKAY, WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT. I should be high for this.
103 2 THE BRINK OF DISASTER
Oh, is that a robe? That explains the calves.
Oh, that's a wonderful touch--the bandage around the Doctor's head is sloooowly changing color as time passes, just like Susan said it would.
Yes, that is definitely a robe. And that is definitely a thigh. :9
Barbara is really especially beautiful this episode. Something about her eyes.
Aww, Hartnell keeps fumbling his lines.
Seriously, you guys, I am perving so hard on Ian's bare feet here. And his ANKLES.
HARTNELL, STOP SPEAKING TO THE CAMERA.
"My machine can't think!" Oh, Doctor, you clearly haven't spent much time with this TARDIS yet.
Awww, and the Doctor and Barbara have a lovely talk and they bond.
And Ian is wearing...um...let me get a screencap of this.

Yeah, IDEK. The Doctor and Ian also mock it, though!
Next: The Keys of Marinus! Because I watched one recon of Marco Polo and decided not to throw my life away.
