Festividder letter!
Dear Festividder,
I am so excited about whatever you are going to make for me! That is the major thing you need to know. I can't quite remember what I said on my signup form so I will repeat what I can remember and add anything else I can think of.
Unless otherwise noted, I love basically everything: all kinds of music, all kinds of pairings (and OT3/4/many) and also gen involving any characters(or ensemble, or no characters), ridiculous comedy and bleakest tragedy. I love straightforward vids and complicated ultra-high-concept vids. For some requests, I may have an idea or suggestion that would be extra special, but you can assume that anything I don't actually dis-request is something I will love.
Request #1: Batman Beyond
A Max-centric vid would be about the most amazing thing you could possibly do here. Or, if you do something Bruce-centric, you could also include footage from the other Diniverse Batman shows(but not Justice League--and only if you feel like it). I love Bruce/Terry too, and the ensemble(including Ace!).
Request #2: Criminal Minds
I'd prefer you not do an Elle-centric vid, because I've done one myself and there's another even better one around, but anything else would be lovely(and obviously if you do an ensemble vid including Elle is great). Ensemble, or focusing on any one of the characters, or a creepy vid about unsubs--I've long wanted to do such a vid to Steeleye Span's "Bedlam Boys" but have never figured out how--or really, anything. I haven't seen season 5, but including footage from it and spoilers is fine.
Request #3: Doctor Who - 1963-1989
If you want to narrow it down, my favorite Doctors are Two, Three, and Five; my favorite companions are Barbara and Ian, Zoe, Jamie, everyone from UNIT, Romana(both), Tegan, Turlough, and Ace. (Okay, that doesn't narrow it down much.) If you want to make a vid about someone who also appears in New Who and/or SJA, like the Master or the Brigadier or [spoiler for this season of SJA], you can use that footage too, if you like. (If you want to make a Sarah Jane Smith vid you should probably file it under SJA, below.)
Request #4: Homicide: Life on the Street
I'd prefer a vid focusing on anyone (or any combination of people) who was in the cast during the first five seasons, but you can of course use footage of that person/those people from the 6th and 7th season. Also you could just do a general atmospheric vid for the show without focusing on anyone in particular, or focus on guest characters.
Request #5: Mulan
I...I really can't think of anything I don't want here. I will love ANYTHING.
Request #6: Planet Earth
This could go majestic or comedic (a vid of all the mating rituals cut together?) or tragic, or you could focus on colors, or the photographers and other behind-the-scenes people--I'd love just about anything using this beautiful footage.
Request #7: Sanctuary
My favorite characters are Magnus and any of the Five, and Kate. But anything that's not primarily focused on Will would be wonderful(obviously, he can be in an ensemble vid, or part of a Magnus-centric vid, etc.--just not his own character study). Something more about the setting than the main characters would also be cool.
Request #8: The Sarah Jane Adventures
The idea that I'm most in love with is a Sarah Jane vid to The Nields' "Einstein's Daughter," incorporating footage from the old series and New Who as well. Other things I would like: an ensemble vid(all four kids and parents and Sarah), something focusing on any one character, Clyde/Luke(no other romantic pairings please), friendship vids about any pairing or group(especially Sarah-Maria or Clyde-Luke-Rani), something focusing on the parents...really, anything. I would like the mood in this one to be not too much grimmer/darker/sadder than the show itself ever gets. Which can be quite sad occasionally! Just, you know, don't go overboard. :)
