I need some help buying a computer monitor! (Yes, my entire electronic universe is falling apart right now.) My rudimentary knowledge has gotten me to the point of considering this or this. The $40 difference is not a big deal though obviously, if there's no quality difference, I'd like the cheaper one. I know very little about monitors and am mostly going on vague sensibilities and intuition and a couple brand recommendations. Any thoughts? I'd like to stay under $350, ideally. And I do NOT want anything even remotely cheaply-made; I learned my lesson with the current, hundred dollar monitor that now vibrates constantly. A heavy/sturdy housing is also good, as is vertical adjustibility. What I use it for: video editing, a little graphics work, movies, staring at for upwards of eight hours a day.
