I'm starting to plan a 2-month unit for my 9th graders on The Hate U Give, so if anyone has links to any good articles (I'm looking for a variety of reading levels), essays, internet resources about BLM generally/any particular killings and the response, I would love and appreciate them!

I'm white, so all due caveats here, but Wesley Lowery is a Washington Post reporter whose book They Can't Kill Us All covers (among other things) early days of BLM in Ferguson and elsewhere. I don't know if you can do book excerpts or whatnot for your class, but this Guardian article from 2017 by Lowery seems to cover some of the same territory.
