Best basic text editor for iPad: opinions? I don't need full-on word processing, just plain text files are fine. Required features: organizing files in folders, ability to use the app while offline, ability to sync everything with my main computer (without my files disappearing, please). And it has to be five dollars or less because come on, it's a text editor. Any recs? :D?

I only just bought IA Writer bc it's under a dollar ATM and after hearing a lot of good stuff about it from the geeky iOS types. I also really enjoy ByWord and PlainText. I recommend hving a look at this spreadsheet comparing text editors by feature (column headers are clickable and stuff): http://brettterpstra.com/ios-text-editors/

I haven't looked at the PlainText FAQ but I'm pretty sure I've used mine offline several times... Though now I wonder if it was always for creating new documents or not, hmm.
