I am not going to the touring production of Les Miserables this November after all, because tickets are more expensive than I thought and the theater is vast and cavernous, so everything affordable is too bad a seat to be worth it--I have learned that no matter how much spectacle and amazing music is being thrown at me, I start to zone out if I can't make out people's faces at all. ALAS. Well, what I would have spent will buy half a decent seat on Broadway next May when I'm there with my choir and also definitely seeing a show and hopefully having obtained a job in the interim.
Speaking of theater, this offer for $20 tickets to a bunch of off-Broadway shows overlaps with my New York visit next month, and I am intent on taking advantage of it at least once (although their laissez-faire attitude regarding the question of "will any tickets actually be available" is...kind of alarming). Any recommendations?
