I watched The Losers, because Chris Evans' filmography is apparently a thing for me now and also I'm trying to avoid RL stuff. It was fairly underwhelming, with some great parts--one of which, of course, was the team being only 1/3 white dudes. I was unsurprisedly disappointed in a couple things (the lack of scenes from Aisha's POV and the way the camera treated her, and...some stuff about Roque that I don't feel confident explaining at the moment), and more intensely but less seriously disappointed that the one ship I was really getting into got derailed--Clay/Roque, and I kind of wish the actors had switched roles, actually, see above re ~stuff~. But yeah, basically I can ship through betrayal and even through hatred, but not through people not caring about each other. It would have been exactly my kind of thing though, and they are both so hot it's disgusting. Oh well, there seems to be lots of porn about Cougar, that will comfort me. Actually I think my number one choice for "this character should take all their clothes off and then get in a fistfight and then dive in the ocean and slowly emerge" is Pooch, but I'm betting I won't find nearly as much fic there, for legitimate and adorable reasons. And really, all six of them should do that. There should be a sequel that is nothing but that.

I'm trying to decide whether to watch Push. On the one hand, what, no. On the other hand, does Chris Evans take his shirt off?

"push" is the story about chris evans and dakota fanning running around being siblings (not literally, but that's what the relationship feels like) and pulling a kansas city shuffle on a shadowy government agency and a criminal organization. it feels like the pilot to a tv show that has a lot of potential. (kansas city shuffle is from "lucky number slevin" and is the only phrase i know to describe what happens.)

there are a lot of not-white people in "push". like it's really odd to see evans walking down the street because he's literally the only white person on screen odd. which makes sense because the whole thing is in hong kong. check out the imdb page for it. the trailer is terrible. the movie is decent.

sorry. i have feels about this movie. mostly because of the big brother/ little sister thing going on.

I actually really love Push! I mean, obviously I don't know how much our tastes overlap, but I went in expecting a ridiculous, probably-terrible film with a good helping of Chris Evans' face, and I came out honestly adoring it. :D

If The Losers is the movie I'm thinking of--yeah, I'm that bad--it was pretty much exactly what I expected from the trailers: lots of violence, little respect or care about the one female character in the show, and, yeah. (My favorite scene really was the Journey song scene, though. SO RIDICULOUS. SO CHEESY. SO WEIRDLY AWESOME.)
