I watched What's Your Number, and it was as nightmarishly misogynist as I was expecting given the premise, but it was ALSO adorable and hilarious and I love both the main characters so much I may die? It was very...confusing. Hugely reactionary and conservative, but also--well, I feel like this mid-movie email I wrote sums it up: Ally is my hero. My desperately-needs-to-discover-feminism HERO.

And of course Chris Evans' character is magical, and naked. So...it's actually worth watching, if you go in fully girded. And I want so much happy nonjudgmental post-movie porn about the main hetero couple, which is not something that happens to me a whole lot.

I watched the WYN supercut (subcut?) stripped of the misogyny, and it was about twenty minutes long, which I think tells me everything about the movie I need to know.

The weird thing is that the misogyny is so interlaced with the parts I loved. Like, it was literally second to second. I just really, really, really love the main character, so her reactions to almost everything--even HORRIBLE THINGS--filled me mostly with joy. And with a burning need for her to discover feminism.

Also is this supercut just a compilation of all the times Chris Evans is naked? Because those were probably the best parts.
