Blackeye? BLACKEYE? For god's sake, fandom, a source finally presents you with a halfway decent pairing smoosh name in the form of "Blackhawk," which is frankly awesome, and you go with BLACKEYE. Of course. Why am I even surprised. I suppose I should be glad it's not "Bromanov."

--actually never mind, I'm going with that now, that's amazing. They are the best Bromanovs ever.

I may actually broship them harder than I sex-ship them, which given how many of my kinks they hit is surprising. But I kind of just want them to be THERE for each other, to get each other the way nobody else does, and also cuddle and cling and have h/c moments and maybe one of them breaks down in the shower after a trauma and the other one has to go in there and hold them until they can breathe again and the water's turned cold. ...basically I want het smarm, is that a thing? Can I have that?

I am so right there with you. I bff ship them so hard that sex can be there or not I don't CARE. I also love them as a unit with Coulson (again, with or without sex). I would read a lot of fic about the three of them having adventures and also h/c, yes.

I do love Coulson, but for my personal id-satisfaction, if I were going to make them a threesome with sex/romance I'd choose Steve, just because I feel like he's so similar to them in terms of issues, but not TOO similar. And I feel like they would get each other and have really intense clingy sex, after getting into a tangled fight about feelings and neeeeed. ...I have preferences? I am possibly projecting them. IT HAPPENS.

However there should definitely be all the fic about Coulson's gen adventures with EVERYBODY. It should be like AtLA, everyone gets a life-changing field trip with Phil.

I should probably see the movie a second time, less distracted, before I get too invested in this BFF fanon but OMG it makes me so happy. I especially like the notion that someone raised in the LJ comments to a previous post, that there may be a Winter Soldier movie in the pipeline, and then there could be Bucky/Natasha like in the comics, and she has so many Feelings and needs her bro to help her deal. Not even a threesome, although I mean, obviously I love threesomes. But just BFFs giving each other (possibly awful) relationship advice and/or comfort. ("Comfort" being an umbrella that includes hugs, drinking, sparring way too hard, and taking off without notifying anyone else on a mysterious three-day mission/adventure from which they return limping, much less tense, and claiming they're not allowed to talk about it.)

And their respective SO's are first jealous, then confused, and eventually they all grow into a weird little happy group, within the larger weird happy group that is the team. Because that's how all my stories end if you follow them far enough.

het smarm is totally a thing (ah, the good old X-Files fandom days) and it is DEFINITELY a thing we should have for these two, omg, I am so right with you. In short, IAWTC OMG.

ohhhhh, if only I knew them better and could write anymore, this fic would already be ten pages long.

Bromanov is PERFECTION.

I will be stalking AO3 like a PANTHER, following the character tags and wading through the 90% of it that's probably going to be mostly about other characters and the other 9% that's probably going to be very serious romance, in the vain but undying hopes that someone will write this for me. THEY ARE THE BEST OF BROS.
