I finished Princess Tutu! It was pretty awesome, although I never quite stopped being bothered by those big round baby heads. If anyone has any vid/AMV recs, I would very much appreciate them! Especially if these vids are full of FEELINGS.

I feel pleased with my timing, having finished one show just as this INCREDIBLY EXCITING OMG HOW IS THIS REALLY HAPPENING thing begins. I haven't watched any of it yet, I've been saving it. Also there's Korra! It's a good time for cartoons.

that is in fact the only one I've seen so far! I downloaded it right after DL'ing the series, and watched it as soon as I finished. It's brilliant, but a little...loud, for what I want at the moment. Namely, something with not quite that hard a beat. I am not yet ready to rock, Princess Tutu-wise. I'm more at the sway-and-sigh-meaningfully stage.

also your icon reminded me--should I watch your weird penguin show? is it short? I've read a tiny, tiny bit about it and it fascinates me. But it might be...too weird.

Now that I'm thinking about it, I'm not sure I have any that are just Princess Tutu. Which is weird! I have some multisource that include it, but none of them really fit that description. :(

(Well actually it may not be that weird, because I have still not finished Princess Tutu. Every four years or so I become obsessed, watch five or six episodes, and then forget about it for four years. Not out of apathy or dislike, it's seriously like a curse or something.)

As for penguins: oh god, um, I don't know. Probably...not...I keep starting to describe it and then trailing off in despair and confusion, but I think I will stick with: I like the Utena movie fine, and found Penguindrum kind of traumatic and so confusing I spent the week after I finished it in a state of perpetual mild anxiety out of sheer WTF. Yet despite myself I also like it? I don't even know.

Although if you have ever had a burning desire to see what would happen if Juri and Nanami had a baby together, I guess that is a reason. I call her Juranami.

I think I will obtain the penguin show, and save it for an extremely rainy day when I need some WTFery and a Juri/Nanami fpreg baby. (Obviously it hatched from an egg.)

Yay Princess Tutu! I loved the ending and the choices Ahiru made so much! I'm not a vid watcher so I don't have recs, I just wanted to come over and squee a bit.

It was wonderful! I loved how everyone grew and how it didn't just slap on a tidy contrived "and then she turned into a real girl and there was romance, because that is the only happiness possible" ending. And Ahiru and Fakir's friendship is now one of my favorite TV friendships ever.

(Although I was a tiny bit saddened that Neko-sensei turned back into a regular cat. HE WAS THE BEST OF THEM.)
