So APPARENTLY my hard drive is dying! I found this out while attempting to back it up, which naturally failed--this being after the old, free, inferior backup program, which I subsequently uninstalled, failed a backup and in the process deleted the old one. So I have nothing, and I have to unplug it as soon as possible and take it in to the shop--and I have to choose a repair place--and while it's there I will be without any of my files or music for however long. Possibly forever!
I cannot even communicate the extent to which I DON'T NEED THIS RIGHT NOW, jfc, like I didn't have enough things wrong with my life.
Also, I know some of you Know Computers, so here is the error message the backup program gave me: "sbvol 503 Fatal I/O error on \\?\STC_SnapShot_Volume_21_0 offset 6422d3ec00 on read (-31 A device attached to the system is not functioning.)" I googled it, hence my current despair, but--is there anything this can mean BESIDES "lol C is dying, have fun with that"? Or any particular subset of that? Ugh, I cannot fucking deal with this.
