more legend of the seeker

I should be doing other things rather than devouring these episodes like candy, but at least I did some of those things before watching more TV, so...that's better, right? Or something.

You guys, I don't know why the "I want you!" "BUT WE MUSTN'T" is so delightful to me, usually I hate that kind of thing--even when it is a good external reason rather than just Because. But IDK, I guess I just find this particular external reason so charmingly batshit that I can feel only sympathy for their ridiculous lives. The whole series so far is kind of...you can tell that the source it's based on was written by a mind that was extremely diseased about women, yet when acted out by people who aren't taking it seriously, it becomes adorable. (ETA: Naturally I posted this right before watching the episode where we learn that women left alone with each other too long will start killing male babies just for the hell of it, and need a man to teach them the error of their baby-killing ways. That was not adorable.)

Plus, you guys, I may never recover from "I'd rather be your slave than hers." I wish the entire series could be the story of Kahlan learning to be a good domme, rescuing Richard from bad dommes (and men too), while he devotes himself (aside from the whole saving-the-world thing) to her happiness and service but of course without ever being Confessed, just because it's what makes him happiest. And also they find a way to have sex. That would just make my life, and the never-to-be-fulfilled dream of it (well, they'll probably fuck at some point, no spoilers please) is probably why I'm shipping them now.

Have you even gotten to the Cara episodes? Because that's when it gets awesome.

My biggest problem with the series is that I find the actor who plays Richard to be so incredibly dull. Otherwise, I'd have loved it so much more.

Aahahaha, I basically ripped through all the episodes where Richard wears a collar and then I was like "...okay, I'm done."
