Sometimes I wonder what it's like to go through fandom without your first thought about any team or group of characters being, "well, what if they all had sex?" I know there are people who don't ask that! I've read their fic!

(Okay, generally my first thought is "oh, I want A/B!" quickly followed by "hmmm, B/C..." and then threesomes and then it goes downhill from there. Fictional group sex is how I process emotions, apparently.)

I know, right? What's wrong with these people who look at something fictional, say, "What about A/B? Huh? Huh?" and then never go beyond it? Of course A/B being possible implies B/C's feasibility, and A/C and what about D and E--

I am sometimes ashamed of my documented history of additive shipping, but the shame doesn't seem to slow me down.

Well, I have known and loved monoshippers, and I respect their way of life! I just will never quite understand it. It's not just that I always end up shipping a million different pairings/threesomes/moresomes, but that when A and B have any kind of tension or issues that would interact interestingly, my immediate reaction is "so then they should have sex," even when I don't ship them at all. Because it would be interesting! Of course, my other immediate reaction is "they should be trapped in a life-threatening situation together" because that would be interesting too. I think I just like throwing characters in a jar and shaking it around.
