FINALLY this icon is useful again
I think--I think I might be getting bored of writing porn D: D: D: D: D: I would take a break to work on something that's all characterization and gen and philosophical questions and stuff, but I really want to to get this done within, like, a month of starting, I don't think that's too tight a deadline, at least for the first draft. And also HOW CAN I BE BORED OF WRITING PORN. I'm probably just hanging my anxiety on this for a change of pace.
I'm also anxious about my characterization just hurling itself headfirst down a rabbit hole, which one the one hand--porn--but on the other hand, I want it to be satisfying, and it won't be if it doesn't feel like them, all of them. And also, okay, I'm getting SO TIRED of trying to wrangle five fucking people without straying from one POV. After this next section, two of them will peel off and do their own thing for a little while and it will all get a thousand times easier. But first I have to get through this. And then never ever ever write an orgy ever again.
If I can actually get anything done tonight (unlike the last...three nights god DAMMIT), this will turn into the writing post to reduce spam.

I don't expect to hit 1000 tonight because of my ridiculously late start and I need to be up by 9 tomorrow. But I will try! Also I'm both amused and SO FRUSTRATED that my approach to "just get on with it, get through this section and onto the next one you're more excited about" is apparently...PAUSE all the action and spend a few hundred words introducing an entirely new kink. THAT'S NOT WHAT "GET ON WITH IT" MEANS, BRAIN. Jesus, no wonder everything I write these days is fifty pages long.
UPDATE: writing m/f PIV makes me very nervous about how people will read whatever I write. especially m/f PIV where the woman is losing her PIV virginity and I'm not TRYING to be a creepy fetishist, I just feel like--why WOULDN'T Raven shapeshift her vagina to make things a little easier for herself?
