(you may well have seen this, because I am SO BEHIND in my fic reading and I only found it today. that's over a week I went without having this story in my brain, I honestly don't know how I survived.)
1. wonderful Alex/Darwin porn with Darwin POV and a prickly uncertain relationship and thoughts about privilege--not like This Is A Story About Issues, it's just--exactly what he would be thinking. That's true of the whole story really, it's not About shit, it's a story where they have sex and they both act like real people and they don't magically become one soul but they connect, despite the rough spots. Maybe the best Darwin I've read yet, certainly the most clearly and vividly imagined.
2. the sex in this is extremely Relevant to My Interests, and if you've looked at any of my posts about this Alex/everyone sex pollen fic I'm working on you probably have a good idea of what my interests are. if you haven't been reading those posts (lord knows I do not blame you), what I mean is that Alex is really really into pain and it is WONDERFUL. y'all have no idea how rarely I find good pornfic where the sex includes someone actually getting punched. AWESOME.
3. they're both awkward stupid boys, it is SO awkward and they don't fall in Sweet Forever Love but it's not tragic or anything, it's basically happy and the ending makes me smiiiiiiiiile. It's just...so awkward. So beautifully unsmooth.
4. it is just the fucking greatest, okay, I'm going to marry it and have all of its babies.
