over five thousaaaaaaaaaaaaaand
which I mean, it's been like...a week? So that's not actually particularly good or anything. BUT IT HAPPENED.
this is, as always, liable to be updated, unless I fail.
Actually I'm going to unflock this one because I need advice: Armando or Darwin? The first is better, really--I mean, if I'm writing them as boyfriends (OF COURSE I AM) then, well, it's his name. But we never actually hear it onscreen--right?--and apparently that is a HUGE mental block for me when writing. What do y'all think, would it bug you to read a fic where Alex was in love with him and grieving over him but thinking of him as Darwin? Canon is so weirdly mixed on this point...it's not his name, they point this out, but the others including Alex call him that before he announces it as his Superhero Name and again after he's dead. IDKKKK, I like clear and well-defined rules for these things, okay? STRESS.
I think I'm going to end up embarrassed to post this. Not because of the sex, but because it will basically be me saying, "Hi! I filled your kinkmeme prompt! It starts with 2500 words of plot setup and heartrending grief!" I mean, these are very fine things to have in a story, but--kinkmeme prompt! Requesting a filthy gangbang! I HAVE NO SENSE OF PROPORTION, I'M A DISGRACE TO MY UNIFORM. Also I continue to doubt that the emotional through-line of "mourning and repressed angst--->increasingly BDSM-y group sex---->puppypile with two other couples, neither of whom he's now dating----->HEALING" will be accepted by anyone who is not me. I'm not entirely sure if I accept it, I just know that I need it to have all of these things. Because I am 100% incapable of writing Alex/anyone where he's not all messed up over Darwin and that has to be dealt with first, and I'm also incapable of writing porn I don't personally enjoy, and I'm ALSO incapable of writing endings that aren't deliriously happy and full of hope and renewal and bunnies, unless the entire story up to that point has been depressing and short.
BUT WHATEVER I DON'T EVEN CARE, or I am attempting not to, because it's my story and anyway people will love it no matter what since it has so much porn. So that's all right then.
words tonight: 1057. A comeback!
words total: ~5930 (I've got short notes scattered everywhere so I have to estimate how much to subtract)
sections complete: 1 is very very near done, 2 is more done than not, 3 is done, 4 is almost done, 5-9 are at 0%

in a Latino context, at least as far as I've ever heard living in SE Texas, it's "Ar-MAHN-doe" (except the "doe" isn't fully long, it's like other Spanish words). IDK about if it were Italian or something.
