Seeing XMFC again - don't worry, I'll turn off phone when it starts - and the previews...wow. So did someone actually purchase the rights to that fighting robots toy and make a bad movie from it, or were they just inspired in a non-legally-binding way?

When I saw the movie opening night there was this this lone guy who booed so loud after the fighting robots trailer that everyone else cracked up at his displeasure.

They took Hugh Jackman and Giant Robots! Punching Things! and made a trailer that is so dull that it will take 5-star reviews to get me to see the thing.

And this in the summer of Giant Robots Punching Things! How is this even possible?!
