I am having TATTOO WORRY. What's it supposed to look like during the flaking/peeling stage? Because mine's been there for several days, and it seems to be winding down--it felt much less flaky to the touch today than it did a few days ago--but the black is getting increasingly less solid, with many tiny flecks of skin showing through. WHAT IS WRONG, I haven't touched it except to wash and moisturize it and of course when I'm SLEEPING it touches stuff, but come the fuck on. And I didn't have any bad reaction that I noticed to any of the stuff I put on it. It doesn't feel completely healed/skin-like yet, there's still some texture, so I'm assuming it's not done with the process yet, but I have such a bad feeling about this. I'll post a photo later today when I can get my mom to take one for me, but I needed to freak out now.

I say give it some more time. With mine, layers of skin fell off, the dead skin to reveal the tat under it. And it looked really fresh. So the flakes are probably the dead skin. Other parts of my tat made a scab so there is this line going through it, fant but I know it's there. I know they are supposed to peel, scab and fall off. Wash it lightly with whatever they gave you and put whatever cream on it. I only have five tats so far.
