do you ever have that moment where you're rereading your own fic/rewatching your own vids (I KNOW I'm not the only one who does this semi-regularly) and you come across a small moment that no one has ever seemed to notice, but you (still and/or now) think is a tiny stroke of genius and are really proud of it and wish you could point it out to everyone? it can't be just me, right?

I just hit this line of dialogue where I had switched a SINGLE WORD to create an effect that I personally, if I may say so, consider brilliantly concise and intense, but then there wasn't room for the other character to mentally remark on that word and its implications, and nobody ever said anything in feedback, so I am forced to assume that they all just missed my genius, which was clearly totally there and evident and magnificent and not at all my own weird interpretation shared by nobody.

Totally not just you. Although re-reading will usually lead to either a "hey, this moment is waaaaay more awesome than I realised at the time" or "man, I really should have beta'd this more closely because that sentence could have been so much tidier".
