okay, this may be the latest I have EVER turned in a paper--three and a half weeks past my original one week extension. Odds are fairly good she won't even take it, who knows, but since I now have to immediately start work on the end-of-term research paper that's on the topic this smaller paper was originally going to be on, until I realized that topic was MUCH TOO HUGE and pulled out a sub-argument and wrote that alone, I feel it was still pretty productive to get it all down in coherent sentences and paragraphs and suchlike.
I don't know why every idea I have this semester is a damn dissertation. I got that fifteen-page paper back, that I turned in (also very late) a few weeks ago, and pretty much every comment the professor had written was some variation on "you need to expand on this more!" If I'd done it full justice instead of headbutting my way through it at the later-than-last minute while moderately high on stimulants, it would've been well over twenty pages. This one, in its severely cut-back final incarnation, came out to just over nine. It covers roughly a third to half of an argument that was meant to take up about a third to half of the paper I'd originally planned. I honestly do not know what is WRONG with my HEAD these days.
