I have not, and will not, make a post about the VVC controversies, because OH FUCK NO. Except this: just because an argument has been had once doesn't mean it shouldn't be had again. Amazingly, people and institutions and knowledge tend to change drastically over the course of a decade. New =/= bad, and treating new members of a community that way is an awesome way to make yourself exactly as irrelevant as you claim you're being treated.
