(no subject)
just hit 9500 words, at least 1500 left by my rough estimations, HOW DID THIS HAPPEN. seriously you guys, on December 6th I was absolutely certain I would never write fiction again EVER, and now...what. HOW. well, I know how, it was through the miracle of prescription medication and my new ambient playlist combining to break through my years-long mental block and make me write five thousand words in one night. but still, wtf.
(although I do have to say that while this gives me confidence in a general sense, the fact that this wordcount is for the stripped-down, standalone version of the story kind of freaks me the hell out, because it makes it very clear just how much work is going to be required to finish one of my BIG ideas. if this is how much space it takes me to get through "sex goes wrong, angst, confrontation, more sex," how am I ever going to make it through an actual plot?)
also I still have no idea what on earth I'm going to call it. titles are so much easier when you can just browse through christmas carols for something evocative.
