one day i will make an entry about something that is not dragon age, but today is not that day! So I killed Connor in Redcliffe, basically just to see what would happen--it's really creepy, btw, that they don't give the PC any FACIAL EXPRESSION when he's doing things like, idk, KILLING A KID--then back at camp talked to Alistair about it, and Persuaded him to be less angry at me. Which was REALLY DISTURBING, and I don't think I shall be using Persuade on any more allies, because hsi whole mood basically flipped and he got all berating himself for yelling at me D: D: D: So now I'm wondering if I want to replay Redcliffe and take the cheater's out (using the mages at the Circle) or kill the mom--I'm fairly sure the game won't backstab me for either option, NO SPOILERS PLEASE--but, well, that is a shitload of animation to sit through all over again, and I have a feeling Alistair would be just as angry at me if I used the blood mage. THIS GAME GIVES ME COMPLICATED FEELINGS D:
Meanwhile, Leliana sang a lovely song that made everyone in camp turn their heads (except Morrigan, who scoffed); Sten's quest points to Orzammar but I'm going to Denerim to get the Thing you have to get after Redcliffe--again, I'm pretty sure game time is flexible and doesn't care if I go other places first, so I might backtrack and go to Orzammar. IDK. I want to see dwarves, but I'm curious if there's anything you can do in Denerim when you haven't triggered the final quest yet that you can't do later--I will happily accept vague spoilers on this question, btw, to the tune of "yes" or "no." I talked some more to Zevran and the 'flirting' options are really...embarrassingly awful. Like, I don't care how interested my PC is in that guy, he's not going to utter the words 'elven sex slave' or 'leather fetish' anytime...ever. Still, his approval rate is at "Interested" so I must be doing something right. Somewhat relatedly, one conversation gave me the option to insult the smell of Morrigan's feminine region. WHAT. I mean, aside from the fact that to do such a thing would be to court instant death. I'm going to have to play again as a dude after my next playthrough to try and court Morrigan. It seems practically impossible because she gets pissed off when you tell her you like having her around or ask about the less sensitive areas of her past. Meanwhile, Morrigan's mom turned into a HUGE FREAKING DRAGON, killed my entire party, then I tried it again and she gave me the grimoire and the quest completed, so hopefully that is the end of that and she won't suddenly show up and steal Morrigan's body.
