(no subject)
so I've given pretty much everyone gifts. Morrigan loooooved her mother's grimoire and it spawned a quest although not one with any instructions; Sten was REALLY FOND of the artwork and then we had a nice conversation; Leliana liked her hideous blue satin puppy shoes but not, you know, TOO MUCH; Alastair was happy with his silver sword and...what the hell else did I give him? I cannot remember--and then we discussed licking lampposts in winter, which did NOTHING to deter my rampant Alistair/PC shipping. I am SO playing as a woman next time so we can get it on. Will he get with you if you're an elf or a dwarf lady?
so far, only Sten's opinion of me has gone past neutral to active liking. This is very strange. I'm in the elf forest playing him, Morrigan, and Leliana--I wanted to level up him and Morrigan after playing Alistair and Wynne in the tower o' monsters(although an awful lot of that was by myself, but still). Sten's commentary is not quite as entertaining as Alastair's, but it has its charms. Oh, and I accidentally offended Morrigan by telling her I wanted her to stay. I have no idea what happened there.
as previously mentioned, I discovered a really nifty cheat that kills all enemies in the area. You don't get the hit points, so I'm using it sparingly and only for things that keep killing me no matter how I try, but it's awful nice to have as backup.
Speaking of oddly charming, I find it SO WONDERFUL that in camp, when I click on the dog to interact with him, it shows Alistair playing with him. I mean obviously they can't show the PC because there's no voice acting available, but I love the idea that Alistair is constantly trying to befriend and/or taunt the warhound.
I am so insanely excited to play this game a second time, and I'm not even a third of the wawy through. I want to see ALL THE POSSIBILITIES. I want to make Morrigan like me, and take the dog into battle, and do a Rogue properly instead of half-assing it and wasting points the way I did on Leliana because I didn't know what to do with her. I want to actually pay attention to the crafting section, which not so much this time around, mostly because I can't be bothered to spend points on poisoning when I could make her a better FIGHTER. Also I'm not sure how to put the poison on the weapons. I also can't figure out how to apply this rune I found. SO CLEVER IS ME. oh, and I want to see Morrigan's nightmare! Alistair's was a big disappointment but Wynn's and Leliana's, especially, were great.
(Also I want to get up the nerve to say the mean conversational options sometimes. idk why I am so timid about offending PIXELS ON A SCREEN, but there you go.)
