oh, man, i'm continuing to LOVE this season of SJA. waited two weeks to watch the two-parter, as last time, and i am quite glad i did because this one started off rather shaky--the basic plot was nothing special and Rani felt so generic at the beginning and made me unhappy--there's just so little CONNECTION between her and Sarah Jane and the absence is so notable and detracts from the ~team feeling. Also SJ was a bit...manic, I think. Or something. Just kind of off. BUT. Clyde=1000% deep fried AWESOME once again(I was disappointed in the seeming-copout with the evil Clyde thing, but it turned out to have plot reasons besides REMEMBER WHO YOU ARE so that's alright), and the second episode was so great with Rani's parents and that very last scene of her with her family--and her dad was a marvel, as before--and I really, really like how they're developing Luke. he feels more and more like a REAL BOY every episode. :D I really loved the scene where Sarah Jane is trying to comfort him, and it doesn't quite work and both of them are kind of :| as she leaves and SUCH A REAL BOY. :DDDDDDDD
next week i might break my no-cliffhangers rule because OMG CLYDE EPISODE OMG OMG OMG, I really can't...express how MAGNIFICENT that preview made me feel. CLYDE STORY YAY.
also, in the department of THEY ARE TOO YOUNG AND I FEEL BAD, this was a really DYNAMITE episode for those of us who are into Luke/Clyde action, in a furtive, shameful, PG13 way. (TOO YOUNG DDDDD:) First there was the bit near the beginning where Clyde is practically SNUGGLING him, and then the whole plot hinges on Luke's TOUCHING him, and then at the very end the teasing and OH MAN. UNDERAGE OTP. :DDDDDDDDD: --I would feel less bad if I wasn't so honest-to-god attracted to Clyde, even though the actor is 21 or something but Luke's actor is NOT and I am having bad thoughts and confusion. /o\
